Gugulethu Sophie Mbatha - better called Gugu - is a British stage and film actress. Gugu gained notoriety after starring in the BBC's 'Doctor Who,' a British science-fiction television show. Gugu gained fame for her performance as Tish Jones. This was the character's sister. Gugu's viewers loved her openness and she was soon getting ready for an extensive acting career. Gugu also appeared in various British stage and TV productions. Handler made the decision to focus on stand-up comedy when she was 21, after she realized her story telling abilities. At the beginning of her career Handler started out her profession as part of the Oxygen network, which was an all-female cast on the hidden camera/comedy reality TV series Girls Behaving badly. The show was broadcast between 2002 and 2005. Handler began appearing in other shows such as Weekends at D.L., The Bernie Mac Show, The Practice and My Wife and Kids. Handler was a part of The Tonight Show for a time as a reporter. Handler got her most famous break in 2006, when she was named host on E! This show was named The Chelsea Handler. The Chelsea Handler show ran for two years. Handler appeared on the Comedy Central's Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour the following season across the United States. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend (and HBO) have been able to broadcast live stand-up shows. She was named as the host of 2010 MTV Video Music Awards in the year 2010. In this way, she became the second woman in history to host the VMA's following Roseanne Barr.
